Curtis Kaiser, JD/MBA, Board Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Law, “Purposeful Planning for the Multi-Millionaire Next Door®”

Our firm focuses exclusively on estate planning and we do it in a way that to put it simply, is designed to take care of our clients’ families. We do this best through the Legacy Program we began offering in 2019.

Our Legacy Program serves over 100 client families, and we are fortunate to have over a 95% renewal rate on the program. We prepare our clients’ plans and assets for their loved ones and prepare the loved ones for the assets. We do this by (1) reactively and proactively adjusting the client’s plan and assets over time to reflect changes in laws, assets and perspective and (2) facilitating communication and education about the plan and assets between our clients and their helpers and beneficiaries.

Drawing on his focused and ongoing estate planning training as well as personal empathy, Curtis Kaiser works with our clients and their trusted advisors to create and evolve estate plans that help to minimize taxes, costs, and complications, while maximizing simplicity, ease of implementation, and family harmony. Kaiser Law Group’s Legacy Program is perpetually adaptable to serve the client’s needs and life circumstances.

Beginning his career as a litigator with Morrison & Foerster in Orange County 25 years ago, Curtis transitioned to estate planning over 15 years ago and became a Board-Certified Estate Planning Specialist. This commitment to specialization led him to develop what he calls “Purposeful Planning for the Multi-Millionaire Next Door®.” This is a client-centered model that focuses on sensible financial decisions to accumulate and sustain family wealth in all of its forms, across generations.

Curtis has developed and maintains a strong network of other professional advisors. He serves as chair for a Los Angeles chapter of TIGER 21, the premier membership community for high-net worth creators and preservers. For over a decade, he served as the group leader for the Long Beach Airport group of ProVisors, a national networking organization for trusted advisors, and is also a Laureate in Wealth Strategies, a designation awarded by the Southern California Institute to estate planning professionals who counsel high-net worth clients. Curtis co-founded the Southern California chapter of the Purposeful Planning Institute.

Curtis is a frequent presenter for groups such as the Financial Planning Association, CalCPA, the Purposeful Planning Institute and Vistage.

As a past instructor at the University of California, Irvine’s Paralegal Program, he developed the program’s Estate Planning course. While teaching at UCLA’s Anderson School of Business, he taught a course in Strategic Business Communication and mentored a group of 18 business school students through the “TIGER on campus” program. Curtis led students in a peer-learning group experience and introduced them to a different local private company CEO each month to hear about the personal and professional challenges that each business leader faced in their own journeys.

Curtis earned his B.A. degree, with honors, from the University of California at Santa Barbara and his J.D. degree from Santa Clara University, where he was named a Dean’s Fellow and received a 100% merit scholarship. Curtis also has an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Business where he was the commencement speaker. He is a proficient Spanish speaker and serves clients who prefer to communicate in their native language.

Curtis lives in the Belmont Shore neighborhood of Long Beach with his wife Kristie (a fourth-grade teacher) and his 12-year old daughter and 9-year old son. Curtis enjoys travelling with his family to Spanish-speaking countries, coaching his son in baseball and going to concerts with his daughter.
